The IAVC is pleased to offer the Canine Essentials of Veterinary Chiropractic Course in 2026/2027.

New hybrid format: Course participants can begin immediately learning important veterinary chiropractic theory using the IAVC online learning platform upon full registration. This allows students to learn from home at their own pace and convenience, the knowledge and background information which will optimize the learning experience during the in-person practical sessions. The combined use of learning platform theory and in-person practical hands-on sessions form an ideal framework, developing the participant’s knowledge and skills throughout the duration of the course.

Comprehensive practical sessions with dogs including safety and handling of the animals, and an introduction to the quadruped chiropractic adjustment. The focus is on motion palpation, hand and body positioning, and treatment techniques of the quadruped sacropelvic, thoracolumbar, cervical and extremity region.

Module I - Sacropelvic/Thoracolumbar; December, 4th - 6th, 2026
Module II - Cervical/ Extremities, February 19th – 21st, 2027
Module III - Veterinary Chiropractic Integration, April 23rd - 24th, 2027
A review of all animal chiropractic assessment and treatment techniques. Comprehensive practical sessions with dogs and horses focusing on case management and treatment of the quadruped, as well as a final practical exam.
