Biomechanical Concept and Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization (Module I) and Medical Training Therapy and Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization (Module II)03.06.2023 - 04.06.2023
STAMMER©KINETICS - Functional Movement Analyses and Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization at the Heimathaus Sittensen, Am Heimathaus 4, 27419 Sittensen, Germany
The IAVC is pleased to present again a two-module course in functional movement analyses and mobilization. In two modules, this very practice-orientated course explores the “functional motion circuits” of the horse: Head-neck, neck-chest-forelimb and sacroiliac-hind limb. Stefan Stammer has developed in his Stammer©Kinetics, a training and rehabilitation concept which is an ideal way to compliment and facilitate equine chiropractic treatment, and unlock full training and performance potential.
Module I, June 3rd + 4th, 2023: Biomechanical concept and Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization
- Functional movement chains: cranial and caudal motion circuit, the interaction of both and the influence of the classic dressage schooling system into it Working mode of the catapult system inside the horse
- Influence of the concept into athleticism, prevention and rehabilitation
Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization:
- Basic techniques to analyze and to improve the functional movement chains
Module II, November 4th+ 5th, 2023: Medical Training Therapy and Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization
Medical Training Therapy
Dynamic Myofascial Mobilization of muscles, joints and connective tissue and Integration of the mobility into a functional coordinated movement.
About Stefan Stammer
Stammer’s work focuses on the analysis of movement in both sport and pleasure horses, and applies physical therapy techniques suited to their individual requirements. He has trained in both human physiotherapy and equine osteopathy, and has been working primarily with horses since 1999. Besides his clinical practice, he has spoken at numerous national and international congresses and courses, developed physiotherapy programs in cooperation with veterinary clinics in Germany, Switzerland and the USA focusing on rehabilitation concepts for horses having already been taught and received with enthusiasm since 2013/14, the course format continues to evolve, and is better than ever this time around! Stefan will be supported in his teaching by the experienced teaching members of the IAVC Team, during practical sessions, as well as in specific theory topics.
